Cash and valuables looted from 23 locations in the capital – Newspaper
ISLAMABAD: Robbers and thieves looted money and valuables from 23 locations in the capital, police said on Monday.
In the first incident, six gunmen raided a shop belonging to Nusrat Hayat in Lehtral Road and took away 150,000 rupees.
In another incident, unidentified men contacted a car salesman and asked him to come to Bhara Kahu. When he drove the vehicle to the designated location, armed men restrained him and took the car away.
Similarly, two gunmen intercepted a man at G-7/2 and snatched a brand new motorbike while two robbers looted Rs70,000 from a petrol pump in Dhoke Mohri.
Similarly, three armed persons intercepted Aqib Nawaz, a delivery man, in Margallah Chowk and looted 65,000 rupees and a mobile phone. The thieves also looted Rs15,000 and a mobile phone from a Bykea runner and Rs5,000 from Zubair Zahid in Gulberg Green and a mobile phone from Tanveer Hussain in Sihala.
Also, thieves stole 50,000 rupees and 1.2 tola of gold from Hamza Ali Khan’s house in Alipur, cashed 50,000 rupees from Ali Akbar after driving him to G-8/3 and 8,000 rupees to Khawaja Irfan in Pims.
Meanwhile, nine motorcycles have been removed from H-9 Weekly Bazaar, Blue Area, Ghauri Town, G-9, Aabpara Market, Rawal Town, E-11/2, Model Town and Jinnah Garden.
