Exports from Bushehr province increase by 66%

TEHRAN – The value of exports from Bushehr province in southwestern Iran increased by 66% in the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2021-February 19, 2022) , compared to the same period in the last year, announced a provincial official.
Behrouz Qarebeygi, director general of the province’s customs administration, said 23.309 million tonnes of products worth $8.928 billion were exported from the province during the 11-month period, also indicating a 4% growth in terms of weight.
Petrochemicals and gas condensates were the main export products, while China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkey, the Netherlands, Pakistan, South Africa, Brazil and the neighboring states Persian Gulf were the main trading partners of the province during the said period. , the official said.
He also announced that 460,000 tons of goods worth $1.257 billion were imported into the province in the first eleven months of this year, up 20% in value and 1% in terms weight compared to the same period in the past. year.
As previously announced by the Deputy Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the value of Iran’s non-oil trade increased by 38% in the first 11 months of the year in Classes.
Foroud Asgari said Iran traded more than 149.4 million tons of non-oil products worth $90 billion with other countries during the mentioned period.
He noted that the weight of trade during the mentioned period also increased by 12% compared to the figure for the same 11 months of the previous year.
The official estimated 11-month non-oil exports at 112.658 million tonnes worth $43.517 billion, with an increase of 40% in value and 10% in weight.
The Islamic Republic imported 36.777 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $46.577 billion in the first 11 months of the current year, with a growth of 36% in value and an increase of 19 % by weight year over year, according to the manager.
IRICA previously reported that Iran’s non-oil trade was worth $73 billion in the last Iranian calendar year.
The former head of IRICA, Mehdi Mir-Ashrafi, had estimated the weight of non-oil trade at 146.4 million tons and said that figure showed an annual decline of 25 million tons, the result of sanctions and the coronavirus pandemic.
Iran’s non-oil exports were 112 million tons valued at $34.5 billion, and those of import were 34.4 million tons worth $38.5 billion in the year last, the official added.
Among the country’s non-oil export destinations, China was first, with imports of products worth $8.9 billion, Iraq was second with imports of $7.3 billion , the United Arab Emirates the third with imports of 4.6 billion dollars, Turkey the fourth with imports of 2.5 billion dollars, and Afghanistan the fifth with imports of 2.2 billion dollars, announced Mir-Ashrafi, and named gasoline, natural gas, polyethylene, propane and pistachio as the main products exported by Iran over the past year.
