Louis D’Arminio Jr. “Lee”

Hackensack – Louis D’Arminio Jr. “Lee”, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the age of 97. Prior to his retirement he owned with his brothers, D’Arminio & Son’s Construction Company in Hackensack for many years. Lee was a proud WWII veteran serving in the United States Army, where he was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and Silver Star. He was a member of South Hackensack’s VFW Post # 8005, Hackensack’s American Legion Post # 55, and the last original member of the Hackensack Troast Athletic Club. Lee was a parishioner at St. Francis RC Church in Hackensack, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society, a member of the St. Francis Socialites, and usher. Baseball lover and huge Yankees fan, Lee was one of the founders of Baseball of Hackensack. He served his city for many years on the Youth Guidance Council. Beloved husband of the late Jenny (née Ingoglia) 2010. Devoted father of Theresa Crusius and her husband Kenneth of Hackensack, Louis Lee D’Arminio and his wife Gloria of Ramsey, Thomas D’Arminio and his wife Wendy of New City, NY, and Maria Moran and her husband Dennis from Piscataway. Cherished grandfather of nine grandchildren and great-grandfather of thirteen. Dearest brother of Angela Donaldson of Easton, PA, and the late Carmen, Angelo, Anthony and Michael D’Arminio. Lee is also survived by his sisters-in-law Florence and May D’Arminio, his brother-in-law Jack Ingoglia and his sister-in-law Rose Ingoglia as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many other relatives. and friends. The funeral will be on Tuesday, November 23 at 8:45 a.m. at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. Christian Burial Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis RC Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Lee’s memory to: Hackensack Blue & Gold Scholarship Fund, 200 Winston Dr. APT 1418 Cliffside Park, NJ, 07010; The Hackensack Troast Club, 74 Troast Street, Hackensack, NJ, 07601; or St. Francis RC Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
