Yellow Jackets honor eight on Seniors Day

CEDARVILLE, Ohio — G-MAC leader Tiffin put his offense on display while sweeping a Senior Day doubleheader in Cedarville.
The Dragons have hit four home runs, including a pair of Grand Slams in 20-8, 7-3 wins.
The Yellow Jackets, who finish the regular season 21-24 overall and 15-14 G-MAC, are awaiting a potential conference tournament bid early next week.
In Game 1, Tiffin exploded for eight runs in the fourth and eighth innings.
Sam Punzi drilled a pair of doubles with a run scored and RBI while Chase Springmeyer belted out a solo home run.
Payton Eeles had a pair of hits and two RBIs. Alain Perry added two hits and two runs.
Punzi and Blais Hale had two hits apiece in Game 2. Eeles stole two bases and scored a run.
Stinger Notes:
- Eeles’ hitting streak was snapped at 17 games, but he continued his streak of reaching base in all 45 games.
- Punzi has 15 multi-hit games this season.
- Perry has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games.
- CU pitchers combined for 15 strikeouts in the twinbill.
- The top six teams qualify for the G-MAC tournament at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio, May 11-14.
